Meet Jessie and the Band

Guy Guy

Guy Cundell
Dobro & Acoustic Guitar,

Music Director ~ Jessie Che Band

Guy began his performing career in Mt Gambier in the mid 70's in a band called Lake City doing a bit of everything in a band that did a bit of everything. Moving back to Adelaide, Guy played in rock and R&B bands in the 70's and 80's and also worked as an arranger and music director.

In the early 90's Guy gave up loud music, went to Adelaide Uni and received a degree in Music and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching. In 1995 he started work at Noarlunga TAFE and has been teaching various aspects of commercial music ever since.

A founding member of the Jessie Ché Band, Guy originally played bass, lead guitar, pedal steel, and mandolin in addition to being Musical Director. Since the reformation of the band Guys’ role has evolved and he is enjoying adding the unique sounds of his De Gruchy Dobro to the band’s repertoire! He is also happy not to carry so much gear to every gig.
